Building Timber Frame Houses

Timber frames have been used in construction for hundreds of years across many different climates and terrains. Our timber-frame systems are closed panel, meaning the majority of assembly takes place in a factory before being taken to site. This makes them a great choice for self builders because onsite assembly time is rapid, which also keeps costs down.

Timber-frame houses are also known for being much more thermally efficient than those built with other materials like masonry, so our self builders can enjoy the thermal, economic, and environmental benefits that a Kingspan Timber Solutions timber-frame home provides.

Why Timber Frame?

Rapid build times and excellent thermal performance are just two of the reasons that more and more self builders are choosing timber-frame construction as their route to build. Timber frames are also built to a high degree of dimensional accuracy and can be built to suit virtually any design and style of house.
