Making life easier for Architects & Specifiers

Kingspan Timber Solutions is more than just a timber-frame company. We offer a number of services and build systems that make the lives of Architects and specifiers easier. Not only do we provide the timber-frame drawings and structural calculations that most other timber-frame suppliers offer, but SAPs, thermal calculations, fire calculations, and fire mitigation reports are all a part of the KTS bundle.

We carry out this testing independently, so you don’t have to. Alongside this, we can supply a set of CAD details that can be dropped into your model for an instant picture of you can achieve working with us, without you having to redraw everything. An Architects' Pack will provide you with all the information you'll need to make your life easier.

Why work with Kingspan Timber Solutions

One of the first key steps in designing a building is to first work out what materials it will be made of. Timber is becoming an increasingly popular option for designers for many reasons, not limited to its design versatility, sustainability and rapid build times. The build systems at Kingspan Timber Solutions go one step further than this, and their added benefits should be considered at the outset of any design process.

Further Benefits
Our timber frames and SIPs lend themselves to almost any house design or style. This means they have the ability to meet a wide variety of client budgets and plots, too. It also gives Architects a huge amount of freedom. The thermal benefits that Kingspan Kooltherm insulation brings to our build systems are obvious, but less so are its structural benefits. Since the insulation is housed within the superstructure, this means it has very little impact on the overall design, leaving the architectural possibilities open. In fact, our systems can accommodate almost any design; if you can design it, we can build it.
The demand for eco homes has only increased with time, and looks as if it will continue to do so. Whilst most people do not have the inclination, nor the money, to create a Passivhaus, the undeniable thermal benefits of choosing a timber-frame build system are attractive. Choosing a Kingspan build system will mean clients pay less for energy in the long term, and live in a stylish and comfortable that meets their needs.
The obvious build benefits of a timber-frame construction will be appealing to your clients. An extremely high degree of dimensional accuracy is achieved through the frame being cut and assembled in our factory. A fast build time taking the structure to a weathertight stage means internal works can begin sooner. An experienced Kingspan Timber Solutions Contracts Manager will oversee the entire build, leaving you safe in the knowledge that the entire frame kit is taken care of by a single point of responsibility.

We have a number of systems designed to deliver a range of performance, from Building Regulations to Passivhaus standard. You can specify our systems with confidence knowing that the stated performance data is backed by fire testing and full thermal modelling. We can provide you with all the required details, allowing you to design with accurate dimensions within your model.
We provide a free SAP calculation and EPC certificate with every project. Our scope of supply includes SAP-complaint insulation.
